Our story
From a wholesale lab to your neighborhood optician.
1949
Ace Optical opens
Founded in Steubenville as a wholesale-only lab, making eyeglasses for area eye doctors and industrial firms.
Later
Open to the public
We grew into a full retail optical shop — fitting eyeglasses and contact lenses and filling prescriptions for our neighbors.
Today
Exams under one roof
An independent Doctor of Optometry now sees patients in our office, so you can get your eyes checked and your glasses fitted in one trip.
